Who am I?

A kind soul and a keen observer of life

Brian Epps was born in Marshall, TX to Calvin Epps and Adrian Epps. At an early age Brian took a strong interest in story telling. As he grew older his interest found an avenue to explore story telling in film.

Upon graduating high school at Paul Laurence Dunbar High School in Fort Worth, TX where he was raised, Brian decided that he would pursue a bachelors degree in Theatre Arts. His journey led him to Prairie View A&M University where he studied theatre under the watchful eye of C. Lee Turner.

BUT!!!!

Who is he really???????
Who is Brian D. Epps? I believe this is a question that will never have a concrete answer... Maybe if are you reading this the easy question" Why?" arises... I believe if we ever have concrete answers as to who we are we don't allow ourselves the great experience of self-growth. Granted we all have concrete elements within our makeup; however, the best part of being human is the ability to learn new stimuli and use it accordingly. A great example of the constant struggle of being human in my opinion is the GREAT game of football. My example stems from watching a game that leaves you on the edge of your seat. This becomes more visible as coaches make adjustment after adjustment in an effort to attack and counter-attack the opposition. By now you are asking yourself what does this have to do with the person, human being, the artist...

It's simple really I truly believe that to be human is similar to being like water? Water unless frozen has no true structure it adjusts to the means by which it is restrained or contained. Although I am not perfect I aim to grow each passing day into a better human being. The parameters for the measurement are created by myself. Although I admire and accept the words from people with wisdom, I believe that the ultimate test of being an adult is to look yourself in the mirror and be able withstand the barrage of negativity you encounter from external influences as well as those you create within...

Being an artist in any genre of art makes you pretty self conscious; therefore, if you are not grounded you can easily falter, for an example just look at the infamous stars of shows like TMZ and other celebrity following forms of entertainment. For me this grounding comes from my belief in a higher source of power more affectionately known as GOD... As I previously stated I am not perfect but I am a believer in GOD being the father to a son named JESUS... I am not here to discuss your views or force mine upon you but merely to provide you with more insight into who I am as well as who I am continuing to become...

I will pause here for the moment I believe I have offered enough rhetoric for the evening feel free to subscribe and share with others...
